Wednesday, June 26

Minnwest Bank Kid's Treasure Hunt and Root Beer Floats - 5pm to 6 pm at the Dawson Swimming Pool Parking lot  located at 123 1st Street.  Age Catagories 1 to 3 years, 4 to 6 years, and 7 to 10 years.  For more information visit at www.minnwestbank.com  

Baseball Merchant’s Night
DB 7th & 8th grade BB Game at 4:30pm vs Granite Falls , Dawson Drakes vs Rosen Express at 8:00pm.  Both Games played on Nelson Field.  Merchant's giveaways throughout the Drakes  game.

 

Thursday, June 27 

JMHS KIDS TRIATHLON/OBSTACLE COURSE- 5:00pm check-in with 5:30pm start start at the Swimming Pool.  Competition for Kids age 5-11.  Cost is $15/participant.  All participants will receive a goodie bag and t-shirt.  Please visit www.jmhsmn.org for more information.

JMHS 5K Fun Run & 2 Mile Trail Walk- 6pm check-in with 6:30pm start near Swimming Pool Park.  For ages12 and up.  $15/particiant.  All participants will receive a t-shirt and post-run hydration.  Please visit www.jmhs.org for more information, starting point and route updates. 

Riverfest Kickball Tourney

Games begin at 6 pm at Prestholdt Fields.  Entry is $50 per team.  1st place $150 - 2nd place $75 - 3rd place $50.  Must be 21 years or older to play.  Contact Collin Kor 507-828-6933 to register.

Pork Feed for the Fields - Pulled Pork sandwich meal during the kickball tourney.  Free will doantion.  Proceeds going to softball fields.

Agape Singers Worship Service - Join the Agapes  at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 pm for worship as they return home from their tour.

 

Friday, June 28

Greater Community Credit Union 18-hole Golf Tourney 12:30pm. Tee off, bring your own 4 person team, cost $35/person. Must register with Josh, 769-2908.

Tim's Food Pride Appreciation Lunch-11am-1pm Serving Hamburgers & Hot Dogs with beans, chips, watermelon and Beverage for $5.

Canoe Races
3:30pm. 2-person teams. Registration fee is the $5 price of a Riverfest button.  Three Divisions:  Grade 5-8; Grade 9-12; 18 and older.  Prizes awarded in Chamber Bucks.  Meet at the walking bridge dock.  Canoes provided.  Lifejackets required. Coordinated by Greg Wyum, 320-226-0229.

Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments - Men's & Co-ed Tourney at 7 pm at Prestholdt Fields.  Dawson Fire Department Beer Gardens open during games.  Contact Jordan Bothun 320-226-4072 to register.

Baseball Game -  Jr. Legion vs. Madison at 5:00 p.m.  Drakes vs Cottonwood at 8:00 pm.  Both Games at Nelson Field.

6:30pm at the Swimming Pool Park Main Shelter, $5 Admission Riverfest button

Saturday, June 29

Fishing Contest- 8am-2pm at Riverside Park,  Registration fee is a Riverfest Button.  Fish on the LQP River and bring your catch to Riverside Park at 2 pm Saturday to be weighed with Terry & Jeri Popma. Prizes - $25 Bonus Bucks (1 prize per winner)  Largest Walleye, Largest Northern and Largest Catfish Coordinators:  Jeri and Terry Popma 320-226-9735

3-on-3 Basketball  9:30 am at Swimming Pool Park basketball courts.  Registration at 9:30 am with tournament to start at 10:00 am. $20 per team

Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments - starting at 9 am at Prestholdt Fields.

 

Dawson-Boyd Band Fundraiser

10am-3pm  There will be  Children's Carnival, Silent Auction, Bake Sale,  & Dunk Tank.

Riverfest Craft, Vendor, & Flea Market- 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and because of the weather it will be moved to the Dawson/Boyd Community Center, Exhibitors are welcome!  Bring your tables, and chairs for more information or to reserve a spot call Pat @ 320-226-0530.  Right now we have 60 vendors with papparazi, Tupperware, Thirty one bags, pampered chef, tastefully simple, metal arts, wood art, gnomes, diamond arts, sewing, crochet items, Karma Korn and more, still room for more and a must visit!

Dawson Senior Bingo- 10am-3pm at Small Shelter at Swimming Pool Park

DBAA Family Entertainment- "The Bubbleman" (Family Event) FREE!  Presented by the DB Arts Association.

Corn-Hole Tourney- 3pm at Presdholt Fields.  $20 per team with 100% payout.  Sign up at the Softball Fields.

DBAA presents "The Carpenters"

7pm at DB Memorial Auditorium Presented by the Dawson Boyd Arts Association.  Tickets available on-line @ https://dawsonboydartsmn.org

Hilltop Dance & Fireman's Raffle
 Featuring Hicktown Mafia, 9pm-1am.  Advance Tickets available at the Hilltop for $10 each or $15 at the door.  Firemen's CASH RAFFLE drawing at 8pm. Tickets available from local firefighters.

Legion Pancake Feed- Chris Cakes - 9am-12:30pm @ Hilltop Bar & Grill & Event Center Sponsored by the American Legion. $10/person (adults) - $8/person (10 yrs & under) proceeds will stay local.

 Softball Tournament - starting at 10am at Prestholdt Fields

RIVERFEST CO-ED SAND VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT- 10:00 a.m. at the sand volleyball court-swimming pool park.  Entry $30 per team 6 person team (subs are allowed)  Teams on the court must be co-ed at all times.  3 game matches, best 2 of 3  Double elimination Tournament.  1st Prize $60 2nd Prize $40 3rd Prize $20  to sign up contact Hailey Gritmacker 507-829-2237

Antique Tractor, Car, & Motorcycle Display

Ecumenical Church Service in the Park
11am at Swimming Pool Park small shelter. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy fellowship in the park. Offering to go to "Backpack for Jacks" meal program for children and area food shelf.  Coordinated by Dawson-Boyd Ministerial.

Ballons by Kevin - 1-4pm in front of the Dawson Public Library.  "The Midwest's Premier Ballon Artist" will be on hand to make FREE balloon art for all ages.

Riverfest Grand Parade
2pm. Line up Starting @ 1pm.  Line up at the Golf Course parking lot.   **Note Route Change do to road construction**   The new Riverfest Parade Route as of 6/16/23 will be starting at the Golf Course and then going Locust Street to 7th Street, 7th Street to Pine Street, up Pine Street and back to the Golf Course. No registration required.  Coordinated by the Dawson-Boyd Police Department

Golf Association 3 person Golf Scramble- 3 pm - 3 peraon, par 3 golf tournament (after the parade) Hosted by Dawson Golf Association.  Golf Cart Raffle drawing 5 pm.  (Need not be Present to win) Dawson Golf Course 1300 Walnut Street.
